Monks Hood Aconitum

The deadly Aconitum plant. Commonly known as Monks Hood or Wolfs Bane. This beautiful yet deadly plant in the Ranunculaceae family has enough kick to take down a whale, and has been recorded as doing so. On spear tips of the Aleut’s in Alaska. As well as on arrow heads in Japan to take down bears! Unbelievably, the president of Kyrgyzstan suggested it’s use as a Covid-19 cure in 2021, almost putting Donald Trump to shame for suggesting the injection of Bleach to cure Covid-19. They’re not poisonous to all organisms though. Some Bees and Caterpillars love them. But just 2mg of aconitine and related alkaloids within the plant will unfortunately lead to an untimely end for humans.
