Arbutus unedo Strawberry Tree

Arbutus unedo or Strawberry tree. This unique tree has Strawberry like berries, but is of no relation to Fragaria - to which the name is attributed. The strawberry like berries are also far from being tasty, hence the name Unedo - translating as 'I eat one' from Plinys writtings. Assuming you wouldn't want another...
Although, apparently good for use in preserves.
Unlike other trees and shrubs in the Ericaceae family, Arbutus can grow in lime non acidic soils. It is native to the Mediterranian region, and also discovered in the wild in Ireland in 1835, resulting in it also being Native to Ireland.
